The Crèche is a not-for-profit incorporated society. That means we receive some of our funding through the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Education (ECE) funding subsidy, grants and fundraising events. For the remainder of our funding, we rely on donations from every family each term.
The current term donation for each child is:
- $200 for one session per week;
- $400 for two sessions per week;
- $450 for two or more sessions per week.
In addition, all children attending a full day of Crèche will pay an additional $10 levy (per full day).
For example, if your child is attending a Monday morning session (9am - 12pm) and all day on Wednesday (9am - 3.30pm), then your requested term donation (for 10 weeks of childcare) will be $550. Given this is a donation, you can then claim up to one-third of it back as a tax rebate.
You will receive an email each term with your donation request letter stating the donation for your child. We appreciate if donations can be paid promptly as this helps us keep track of our budget for the year.
Want to apply for a tax rebate on your
Crèche donation?
Given that we are a non-profit charitable society, you can apply to IRD for a tax rebate of up to one-third of your Crèche donation each year.
You may be able to get a rebate of up to one third of your annual Crèche donation if you:
- have earned taxable income; and
- have lived in New Zealand at any time over the tax year.
